    Re: Santander Hire Purchase VT

Are they marked as missed outstanding monthly instalments? I would put in a formal complaint about this and request a reasonable sum of compensation. If they refuse then your next step is the Ombudsman after 8 weeks or earlier if they come to a decision. Failing that the last resort is court.

I have a similar issue ongoing like yours, which I think will end up in me issuing proceedings against them as they have failed to respond within the allocated time.

They are marked as 2 late payments in November for some reason on my equifax report. I terminated in October and have the letter from Santander saying I have £0 to pay. Should I call them or letter? to see if I get anywhere with them first.

Sorry this is happening to you also, I bet like me you could really do without this!

assuming its santander Consumer Finance you contracted with, you could call the complaints number here https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/contact-us/

If you do call, be sure to follow it up with an email (I think the complaints one is customerresolution@santanderconsumerfinance.co.uk but be sure to ask for it) confirming what was discussed. I would give them a time of 14 days to resolve it as each day it continues they are causing damage to your credit file, which you are entitled to be compensated by, especially when they have confirmed you have nothing to pay.
