  • M&S Trespass notice/ Ban

Hi, i have been banned from M&S for shop lifting. Now obviously i won't be going to the one where i was caught, however i'm interested to understand how a nationwide ban can be enforced? They have my name, but no photo. I work in London, so what is stopping me going into to a different branch and purchasing my bits?
Do they have facial recognition software, i'm guessing they have me on CCTV, yet that was unconfirmed.

If not, then does my credit / debit card get flagged with my name?

    Thanks for any insight.

If you return you are trespassing.
If they identify you you will probably be escorted from the store.
If you enter with the intention of stealing and are caught you could be charged with burglary (doesn't happen very often as charge is reduced to theft )

I hear that M&S circulate details of shoplifters (still photo) to all their stores, so a slight change of appearance and chances of being identified are minimal.
Unlikely I'd have thought they would pick up through use of credit/debit cards, but if you are concerned use the old fashioned method of cash!
