  • domestic and general repair plan

my 2 year old tumble drier has been making a loud screeching noise from mid december

i contacted hotpoint and the cheapest repair option for me was to take out the d&g plan at £8 a month over 12 months.

the first engineer didn't show up on the 22nd December.

on the 2nd visit the fault was not fixed

on the 3rd visit (today) the engineer replaced 2 parts on the machine and left saying it was repaired. As soon as i turned it on again it started screeching. I called D&G and they sent the engineer straight back. He replaced the motor and left. I put a load of washing in and after about 20 minutes the screeching started again

They claim to replace your machine if they cannot repair - how many chances do i have to give them to repair before requesting a replacement?

    thanks for reading!

Hi ..can you post the wording of the actual plan you have, as there is more than one.
In the event they fail to repair the machine some plans give a new machine, but some only return payments already made.
