Some useful info in that article. But please post your own case here or add any other helpful snippets.

    Thanks
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Some interesting stuff on there, particularly the form for appealing the decision, I didn't know about that one.

This system only came in my sons last year at school and of course I was far worse off having lost first the tax relief on my mortgage, then the married persons tax allowance, that was the only thing worth marrying for! (only joking dear).

When I received my second form, I didn't bother filling it in as the Inland Revenue site indicated I was not entitled to any credit (son was leaving school by then) I was paid up until he left then received a letter saying I owed them £200+ ignored it, as you do with debts you can't pay, thought I'd sort it when they started demanding payment.

I think I was entitled to the credit up to son leaving school but because I didn't apply, they obviously think I wasn't. Haven't heard anything off them since so I'm not gonna rock the boat, but I will fight it if they come back to me - which I believe they can do - forever!!!

They'll probably end up taking it out of my pension.
